A British teenager, named Yahel, had gone missing after a Hamas attack on southern Israel. Her mother, Lianne, who was originally from Britain, was killed during the attack on Kibbutz Be'eri. It has now been confirmed by Yahel's family that she was also murdered. Her 16-year-old sister, Noiya, and their Israeli father, Eli, are still missing. The British government has stated that at least six British citizens have died as a result of the attack, and another 10 individuals are still unaccounted for, with the possibility that some of them may have also been killed. In a statement, Lianne's family described her as a cherished daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend, and expressed their deep grief and the impact she had on their lives. They also mentioned that Yahel was a joyful and humorous person who loved singing and dancing. The family has not disclosed their surname. The chaos that occurred in the Be'eri community during the attack is revealed through WhatsApp messages, where Lianne told her relatives that she could hear gunfire and shouting in Arabic nearby. Yossi, the brother of Lianne's husband, along with his wife and three daughters, were also caught up in the attack, with Yossi and one of his children being declared as hostages. The UK government has expressed extreme concern over the missing British nationals and stated that efforts are being made to secure their release. The Hamas attack resulted in the deaths of 1,400 Israelis, while over 2,700 Palestinians were killed in subsequent air strikes by the Israeli military. In recent days, approximately 500 British citizens have left Israel with the help of chartered flights organized by the British government.
