A devoted football fan from China traveled over 8,000 miles to watch his favorite team play, but his efforts were in vain as the match was abandoned after just a few minutes. Andy Bebbington, a teacher and Bolton Wanderers supporter, along with other fans, only got to witness nine minutes of the League One game at Cambridge. The heavy rain had left the pitch waterlogged, leading to the game being called off at 20:10 GMT on Tuesday. Mr. Bebbington, who was visiting the UK for a two-week break, described the situation as a nightmare. Originally from Kearsley, he tweeted, expressing his frustration and humorously stated that he must either laugh or cry. Despite the disappointment, Mr. Bebbington maintained a positive outlook, acknowledging that worse things could happen. He indicated that he would not be able to attend the rescheduled fixture but was looking forward to attending the team's home game against Wycombe the following week. Additionally, he had hopes of obtaining a ticket for the club's away match against Northampton on Saturday.
