President Luis Arce of Bolivia has appealed for assistance from the international community after wildfires destroyed around 3 million hectares of land in the country, including a part of the Amazon rainforest. The fires have caused significant damage to the mountainous region of San Buenaventura in the north-west, affecting crops, animals, and forests.
