The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards have announced the finalists for this year's competition. Selected from thousands of entries worldwide, both professional and amateur photographers have captured hilarious moments of wildlife in their submissions. The winners will be revealed on November 23rd. One of the finalists captured an image of a western grey kangaroo in an open field filled with yellow flowers. The photographer noticed the kangaroo striking a humorous pose that resembled playing an air guitar. Another finalist features a surprised swamp turtle with a dragonfly resting on its nose, giving the turtle a smile. In Suffolk, a photographer took a detour to the RSPB's Minsmere reserve and captured an Egyptian goose approaching an avocet, anticipating a confrontation. A photograph of a leopard attempting to jump but looking rather unimpressed was taken while the leopard was being bothered by three young cheetahs. A playful chacma baboon was captured sitting on its mother's back while fooling around. The migration of seals to give birth to their young in the North Sea during late autumn was also documented. Photographers have also captured wildlife in various locations, including the Masai Mara, Katmai National Park, the monkey forest in Ubud, Bali, Bialowieza Forest, Westerfolds Park in Melbourne, Spitsbergen, and RSPB Bempton Cliffs. A heartwarming image shows gannets returning to their nests on the chalk cliffs above the North Sea and engaging in affectionate rituals. The finalists have provided humorous and entertaining moments in wildlife that evoke laughter and joy.
