An authentic Banksy artwork that featured three military-like airplanes on a stop sign in Peckham, London, was swiftly removed within an hour. The piece was shared on Banksy's Instagram page on Friday at around midday. However, it is believed that Banksy was not involved in the removal of the artwork. This year, Banksy has created various installations, including the Valentine's Day Mascara mural in Margate, which depicted a housewife with a swollen eye and missing tooth. Additionally, an exhibition called The Art of Banksy, held in central London, showcases notable works such as Girl With Balloon and addresses current issues like the ongoing war in Ukraine. Banksy has also incorporated messages about the Coronavirus pandemic into his art. To stay updated, you can follow BBC West on Facebook, X, and Instagram or send story ideas to bristol@bbc.co.uk.
