According to firefighting officials, a tragic incident occurred at a construction site in Hamburg, Germany. The scaffolding collapsed, resulting in the death of at least three workers. Additionally, several individuals were injured, and there are concerns that more people may still be trapped under the debris. The incident took place on Monday morning at the Uberseequartier, a significant construction area in the HafenCity district. The workers were reportedly involved in constructing an elevator shaft when the accident occurred. Initially, the Hamburg fire department reported five fatalities, but they have since revised that number. The site has been evacuated, and numerous emergency service personnel are present to search for anyone still buried in the wreckage. The construction site, part of a large-scale redevelopment project, employs hundreds of people and includes the construction of offices, houses, hotels, and shops.
