AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes has faced backlash after sharing a photo of himself receiving a massage without a shirt on during a management meeting. The post, which was later deleted from LinkedIn, described the week as stressful and praised the culture of Indonesia and AirAsia that allowed him to have a massage and attend a meeting simultaneously. Social media users criticized Fernandes for his decision to post the picture, calling it inappropriate, absurd, and unprofessional. Some argued that he should set an example of good work ethics instead of flaunting his body and privilege. However, others viewed it as a positive example of working from home. Fernandes, often regarded as Malaysia's Richard Branson, purchased AirAsia for less than a dollar from the Malaysian government in 2001. He has a background in motorsports and was formerly the majority shareholder of Queens Park Rangers Football Club.
