Air Canada is facing a lawsuit from US security company Brink's International over the theft of gold bars and cash worth millions of dollars from Toronto's airport in April. Brink's claims that the airline was negligent and failed to prevent the theft, which involved goods that had recently arrived on an Air Canada flight from Zurich. The stolen items included 400.19kg of gold bars and $2m in cash. The theft, which remains unsolved, is one of the largest in Canada's history. Brink's alleges that the theft could have been prevented if Air Canada had followed proper security procedures. The company is seeking full payment for the stolen goods. So far, Air Canada has not responded to the allegations.
